Born and raised in Maitland NSW, Lucy Watson is a singer-songwriter blending the best bits of folk and country but always with her own spin. Lucy brings a unique voice to every song she writes and performs.
Lucy began her musical journey through busking, and at age sixteen, she was named one of the top ten buskers at the 2022 Tamworth Country Music Festival. Since then, she has captivated audiences at a range of venues, festivals, and functions.
Her music explores themes of love, growth, and mental health. In 2022, Lucy released her debut single, Butterfly, with each release since showcasing her evolving artistry and commitment to raw, vulnerable storytelling. Her latest single and music video, Love is a Curse, released in June 2025, is now available on all streaming platforms.
Lucy’s career is supported through graduations from Hunter School of Performing Arts, and the Australian Institute of Music. She has continued to grow her career in 2026, graduating from the CMAA Senior Academy of country music. Lucy is actively working on new music for future releases.
